In all of his incarnations, the character possessed superhuman strength, speed, durability, stamina, agility, and the ability to manipulate cosmic energy for energy projection, flight, recuperation, and immortality (although he can be killed, he cannot truly die as Death cannot claim his soul).
For a time, Warlock (during his Him incarnation) sacrificed the majority of these powers by prematurely emerging from his cocoon in order to defend the High Evolutionary. In compensation, the High Evolutionary gave Him the Soul Gem. According to Thanos, Adam is also a unique being like himself and is described to be apart of the “cosmic norm”.
